Hey guys - You might have already heard about my newest partnership, but I wanted to send you a quick note about it. A little while ago, The Alliance For A Healthier Generation and I got together to talk about cool things we could do to get kids active. In case you didn't know, A4AHG is former President Bill Clinton's foundation helping to stop childhood obesity. I thought it would be fun to work with them, like I do with Healthy Kids Challenge.
So, we got together and came up with a contest to promote the EmpowerME movement that's inspiring kids to make healthy changes and become leader for healthy activity and eating. To enter the contest you have to create your very own fitness video (I wouldn't be upset if you cribbed some BYOU moves:) and send it in. Top Five Health Tips:
Get physically active for at least 60 minutes each day
Drink primarily water, 1% or fat free milk, and 100% juice with no added sugars
Eat fruits and vegetables with EVERY meal
Cut back on screen time and limit it to 1-2 hours a day
Get at least 9 hours of sleep every night
